About the Job

The Director of Child Development is responsible for the overall administration of the Marin YMCA PreK/Early Learning. The Director of Child Development is responsible for the supervision for the Marin YMCA PreK/Early Learning staff. The Director of Child Development also maintains the program quality and facility to meet all licensing requirements and CSPP program as outlined by the state of California and the California Department of Education. The Director of Child Development must also maintain positive relationships with the children and families served by the Marin YMCA. As well as ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children enrolled in the program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • BA or higher in Child Development or related major
  • Must be qualified for Child Development Director permit
  • Three years plus years of full-time supervisor or administrator in a Preschool/Child development program
  • Bilingual Preferred
  • Child Development Director Permit
  • YMCA approved CPR, First Aid, AED certifications required
  • Health Screening,  TB and fingerprint clearance required.
