About the Job
The Urban Services YMCA is seeking an After School Program Site Coordinator for Charles Drew Elementary School:
Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Site Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of the After School Program at Charles Drew Elementary. The Site Coordinator will oversee and provide programs that meet the needs of both the student body and school community. The Site Coordinator must maintain all relevant reporting for funder, ExCEL/SFUSD and will implement the ExCEL Quality Action Plan process that includes planning with data, goal setting and reflections throughout the Academic school year. The After School Program includes three primary components: Academics, Enrichment, & Recreation. The After School Program will operate 5 days per week. It is necessary that the Site Coordinator have a clear understanding of the relationship of the general public to the branch, of staff to volunteers, and of intra-staff actions. They must be able to delegate appropriate responsibilities involved in day-to-day operations and to guide or direct all actions with a continuing consciousness of the operating objectives of the branch as defined in long and short-range branch plans.
The position will develop the After School Program in alignment with SFUSD and administrative leadership’s vision in building a community school. That is, developing and implementing a coherent, school-based strategy connecting the school day to after-school by leveraging multiple resources to support holistic student success. Site coordinator will build relationships with school staff and community partners and is responsible for connecting families to after school program goals and student progress through a variety of methods such as family partnership meetings, written communications, and regular family-staff interactions etc.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Education, Social Services or related field
- Available full-time, Monday-Friday, some weekends
- Must have at least two years of experience working with youth programs in supervisory role
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (training available upon hire)
- Fingerprint background check clearance
- TB Test clearance
- Must provide school transcripts documenting necessary qualifications
- Proof of COVID Vaccination required
Preferred Qualifications
- 24+ units in ECE or related courses or trainings, 6 Admin units and 2 Adult Units or Site Supervisor permit qualified
- Demonstrate knowledge, familiarity, and experience working in or with schools within local school district
- Bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, or other languages
