The 19th Annual Urban Services YMCA Pour Your Support Wine event is on Friday, March 5th 2021 at 6pm and will be a virtual, hour-long celebration.  This year, we have partnered with award-winning Sojourn Cellars to bring you a wonderful selection of tasting experiences guided by one of their sommeliers, along with an exciting auction and raffle — all from the comfort of your own home. It will be a night to celebrate Urban and the San Francisco community and raise critical funding for our programs after a very long year.

HOW DO VIRTUAL WINE TASTINGS WORK?

It's simple and fun! First, choose your wine tasting package, then purchase your tickets. You’ll receive a Zoom link in your email to enjoy the Virtual Wine Event. Sojourn Cellars will ship your wine package directly to your home free of charge anywhere in the United States before the event. During the night of the program, a LIVE Sommelier will guide you through a tasting of each of the three wines.

THE STORY OF SOJOURN CELLARS

Based in the town of Sonoma, Sojourn Cellars is a highly acclaimed winery specializing in the production of artisan Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon wines. We source fruit from celebrated vineyards in both Sonoma and Napa Counties, and we help direct farming operations to assure that our grapes are produced using world-class growing techniques. We have consistently produced high-quality wines with a hands-off natural winemaking style that showcases the character and personality of individual vineyards.

 

Meet Patrick Seymour, your sommelier for the evening. 

Certified with the Court of Master Sommeliers, Patrick brings over 20 years of experience to his role as National Sales Manager of Sojourn Cellars, the featured winery of our event. He has hosted private, curated wine experiences for fine wine collectors and prominent wine industry professionals, and has had a direct hand in the production of many award-winning wines.

A Note From Evelyn

Dear Friends,

While this past year has challenged the lives of nearly everyone around the globe, Urban Services has continued our support of those individuals in our community that face overwhelming barriers to their health, wellness and the ability to thrive. In fact, when the pandemic hit, we never closed and immediately devoted our resources to meeting the increased demand for our services, including food and rental assistance, virtual mental health and in-person learning and enrichment for youth. 

As a result of current challenges, we have come to further appreciate the resiliency of the human spirit. Through our collective work, we continue to uphold our values and adapt to meet the needs of a rapidly changing landscape. In this time of uncertainty, we look to each other for support to continue providing the critical services our community needs. 

Pour Your Support is our annual signature fundraising event, now in its 19th year, that helps ensure we can continue our work and provide critical services to the thousands of youth and families who rely on our programs now more than ever. FAQs

When is Pour Your Support?

Pour Your Support is March 5, 2021 at 6pm.  Once you purchase your ticket, you will receive an email with a zoom link which will give you access to the evenings festivities. 

How do I order my wine?

You can order your wine/ticket here. Next, our premiere winery, Sojourn Cellars, will ship your wine package directly to your home prior to the event. On the night of, intermittently throughout our program, a LIVE Sommelier will guide our guests through a tasting of each of the three wines.

Can my wine be shipped out of state?

Yes, we can ship to any state across the nation and it's free.

Who is the Sommelier?

The sommelier will be an expert from Sojourn Cellars. They will guide you through a tasting of each wine through three wines throughout the evening’s program. 

Will the event be live and interactive?

Yes! The event will be both live and recorded. Our emcee and sommelier will be live. We will share pre-recorded messages and stories of impact from various speakers. Plus all our guests will have access to a global chat that is available throughout the entire program. The chat will be monitored, and questions will be answered by either our Sommelier or Emcee.

If I miss the event, can I watch it later?

Yes! The program link will be accessible after the event.
