About the Job
Under the supervision of the Day Camp Director, the Driver transports youth program participants to and from program locations in designated YMCA vehicles. While not driving, drivers may provide supervision to groups of youth.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 21 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of experience driving a 63-passenger bus or large passenger van
- Class B Driver’s License with passenger endorsement and air brake endorsement
- Current DMV Medical Exam Card
- Current training and driver records from employer or school
- Clean driving record. Must meet or exceed YMCA of San Francisco standards
- Clean drug and alcohol test, subject to random testing
- Previous experience working with children.
- Must be able to relate to children in a positive manner
- Current YMCA approved CPR/First Aid certification
- Fingerprint background check clearance
- TB test clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- You must have the physical, visual, and auditory ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
- All employees working with the YMCA are considered to have supervisory or disciplinary action relationship over minors. Fingerprints will be taken upon commencement of employment and will be submitted to the Association Office human resources department prior to beginning the first day of work.
- Staff working on school campuses may be required to complete additional COVID safety trainings.
