About the Job

Under the supervision of the Associate Executive Director, the Community Programs Director is responsible for all community programs. This includes fee-based enrichment classes, SRO Family Program, Service Connection, ESL class, Mentoring Program and community events. Emphasis shall be on maintaining the highest level of program quality and participant satisfaction. The position will also play a vital role in establishing and maintaining partnerships within the Chinatown community. The Community Programs Director is also a key person in branch leadership, participating in branch wide events, playing an active role in fundraising, and representing branch in various Association level teams.

This position is responsible for ensuring a high level of adherence to policies and procedures around program participant safety and child abuse prevention. Additionally, it is expected that the position uphold the highest level of expectations around operational and accounting standard operating procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years experience in related field
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and Bilingual English and Chinese preferred
  • Ability to respond to community needs
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with youth & families
  • Experience supervising and training staff of multiple programs
  • CPR / First Aid certified (obtained within 3 months of employment)
  • Able to work with a culturally diverse population
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
