About the Job
Join the Peninsula Family YMCA YBike program to help get kids throughout San Mateo County outside riding bikes! YBike offers afterschool programs, school-day Bike Rodeos, and events such as Bike to School Day that make biking accessible, safe, and fun for all students. When school is not in session, we run YBike camps.
We are looking for staff who are passionate about biking, have experience working with youth, and are committed to creating a safe space for youth to learn. Position focus is on supporting bicycle education programming and community events. This is a part-time position that averages 15 hours per week.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma
- Experience working with youth preferred
- Bilingual skills in English, Spanish preferred
- Ability to ride a bicycle required. Some bike mechanics experience is preferred, but not necessary.
- Licenses & Certifications: CPR and First Aid (available upon hire), additional trainings provided by YMCA
