About the Job

Under the guidance and supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Payroll Specialist will ensure accurate processing and recording of the YMCA of San Francisco’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information including tax reporting, withholdings and in charge of data entry payroll processing   This is a hybrid position.

PRINCIPALS ONLY

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of payroll experience
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
  • Very good knowledge of federal and state regulations related to payroll
  • Proficient in MS Office and payroll software and databases (e.g. ADP)
  • Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Trustworthy with strong work ethic
  • Ability to deal with difficult, sensitive and confidential issues
  • Work well under pressure
  • Thrive in work environment that is deadline sensitive
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Payroll or ADP certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
