About the Job

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, this position is responsible for performing clinical supervision of staff in a manner that is consistent with the legal and ethical standards set by the professional field.  These duties will generally include, but are not limited to, supervision of clinical staff and trainees, monitoring clinician productivity, providing clinical consultation, clinical program development, and the oversight of clinical staff/intern/trainee training. This position requires extensive mental health experience and knowledge of outpatient clinical services.  Clinical and administrative duties assigned by the Director will be consistent with the legal and ethical standards set by the field of mental health and the YMCA’s mission.

Salary range: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess a current and active California license that is not under suspension or probation
  • Have been licensed in California or any other state for at least two (2) years out of the last five (5) years prior to the commencement of supervision.
  • Have practiced psychotherapy during at least two (2) years out of the last five (5) years prior to the commencement of supervision
  • Provided direct supervision to MFT Trainees, AMFTs, Associate Professional Clinical Counselors, or Associate Clinical Social Workers who perform psychotherapy during at least two (2) years out of the last five (5) years prior to the commencement of supervision.
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards of practice, including child abuse reporting laws.
  • YMCA approved CPR and First Aid Certifications
