About the Job

The Martial Arts Instructor will guide students through martial arts by encouraging personal discipline and self-respect. In addition to providing instruction regarding technique, the instructor will also display patience and positivity with students of all levels. The instructor will coach the students to develop and practice their own skills, ensure a safe and healthy training environment for their students, observe and assess students, and offer feedback on their progress.

Salary range: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 21 years or older
  • Black belt in your chosen style
  • Must be available to work on Saturdays
  • Demonstrable experience working with youth in a group setting
  • Experience and desire to work with low-income working families
  • YMCA approved CPR/First Aid Certification (can be obtained within 90 days of hire)
