About the Job

Under the supervision of the Youth Program Director, the After School Program (ASP) Site Coordinator is responsible for daily onsite supervision, program implementation and youth/staff development. This position is responsible for helping to maintain a safe and welcoming after school site; ensuring high level of program quality that will expose youth to various learning opportunities and working to establish a positive relationship with all program participants and their families. The primary responsibility for this role is to create an academic and enrichment-based program that is compliant with the Youth Development Principles of the YMCA of San Francisco and California State Licensing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 21 years or older
  • 2 years college/Associates Degree or units in ECE or related courses or multiple forms youth development trainings
  • Available Monday – Friday until 6:00 pm, morning and early afternoon hours are flexible, must be available from 12:00 pm-6:00 pm Monday-Friday
  • Experience working with elementary aged students
  • Current EMSA approved CPR and First Aid certs, TB test and live scan fingerprint clearance (employer will provide these after hire if needed)
  • Must provide school transcripts documenting necessary qualifications and previous work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • College education in Child Development, Education, Social Services or related field
  • 24+ units in ECE or related courses or trainings, 6 Admin units and 2 Adult Units or Site Supervisor permit qualified
  • Program management and/or 2 years of supervision experience
  • Experience working within a Licensed Childcare facility
  • Understanding and appreciation of Waldorf education
  • Demonstrate knowledge, familiarity, and experience working in or with schools within local school districts
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, or other language
