AAPI Month and building Staff Support
The YMCA of San Francisco is proud to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. As an organization committed to uplifting diversity, equity, and inclusion, we recognize the invaluable contributions the AAPI community has made in our vibrant city and nation. We are proud of our rich AAPI communities in the Bay that have collectively created cultural landmarks, festivals, and leaders that support the safety and creativity of the many Asian cultures around the globe. As we elevate and support our AAPI colleagues and communities, we want to encourage our AAPI-identifying staff, to join our ERGs and/or support as allies. Supporting cultural events and impactful programs is a great way to support, but connecting and engaging with our colleagues can be even more powerful.
The YMCA of San Francisco is dedicated to fostering greater understanding, solidarity, and allyship between all communities. We are committed to amplifying AAPI voices, addressing anti-Asian racism and discrimination, and building a more equitable future for all.
Through our programs, services, and advocacy efforts, we will continue to empower the AAPI community and work towards a world where everyone can thrive, regardless of their race or ethnicity. Join us in honoring AAPI Heritage Month and reaffirming our shared values of diversity, inclusion, and justice.
