The Monster Dash 5K Run & Walk 

The Urban Services YMCA Monster Dash 5K and walk is back!  Join us for this family friendly Halloween themed 5K walk/run and carnival at Lake Merced October 23 from 9AM -1PM.  All abilities welcome.  Music and food to follow the race.  

All proceeds benefit the thousands of youth and families who rely on the community-based services provided by the YMCA. Our comprehensive services encompass family support, youth development, mental health, workforce development, and criminal justice programs that arm youth and families with holistic health and well-being.

We’d love to have you as a partner and participant! Please join us October 23rd and continue the journey with our youth and families as they build their better world.

 

Race Course

The official Monster Dash race starts and finishes at the main parking lot of Lake Merced. The course is 3.2 miles which you can choose to run or walk. It's a pet friendly event. Race starts promptly at 10AM. Registration begins at 9AM. And as an extra incentive to bring your furry buddy there will be an award given for best dog costume during our finish line celebration.

Urban Services YMCA provides youth and families in-need with comprehensive services every year. And during COVID-19 those services adapted to meet the massive increase in demand for food, mental health support, childcare, education, employment resources, and housing.
