Building Resources to #BreakTheStigma

Black Mental Health        Latinx Mental Health

Asian Pacific Islander Mental Health    LGBTQ+ Mental Health

Mental Health is important every day, but awareness month is May. Here are some mental health resources to learn to heal and normalize our struggles independently, and within our communities working through traumas, anxiety, depression and more.

In order to destigmatize mental health let's do more than provide resources, but also ask for community input to begin to heal independently and collectively. No one is alone, and there are many people and programs that offer mental and physical assistance from mental and emotional burnouts to addiction and drug abuse, and postpartum depression.

With the pandemic and racial inequalities coming to the forefront of the media and into popular focus, we’re prioritizing listing resources to/for our communities of color, and other marginalized groups in hopes to alleviate the current aggravated stress within these communities.

If you would like to help us build resources for our communities, please contact us at infor@ymcasf.org with additional resources, edits, or suggestions to add to this post. Please tag us @ymcasf to organizations doing this work within the Bay Area, and help us #BreakTheStigma
