The OMI Family Resource Center’s mission is to empower families living in the Oceanview, Merced and Ingleside neighborhoods through services aimed at strengthening relationships, building community, and fostering healthy lifestyles. We have been a program of the Urban Services YMCA since August 2003, and have established a strong community presence that has translated into the following services:
- Information and Referrals
- Case Management
- Triple P and 1-2-3 Magic Parenting classes
- Support Groups
- Educational workshops
- Light meals and Child Watch with program participation
- Volunteer opportunities
- Community Events
- Basic needs assistance (Emergency Food Bags, Tokens, and Food Pantry registration)
- Drop-In Services (Fax, Copy, and Computer access)
- Weekly Food Pantry
- Monthly family Dinner and a Movie nights
- Service Connector Program (job assistance and linkage to educational and employment resources)
