About the Job
Under the supervision of the Associate Executive Director, the Director of Workforce Development (DWD) is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the Stonestown Family YMCA’s Workforce Development Programs and participating in YSF Workforce Service Line programming. The DWD leads the branch’s transitional aged youth and teen employment programs and training initiatives. This includes committee staffing, policy development and implementation, supervision of staff, administration, fiscal management, fundraising and organizational development. The Director of Workforce Development is responsible for developing apprenticeships/internships for business and industry, and for organizing, implementing, and administering Workforce Development (WFD) programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- 21+ years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years’ experience working with transitional aged youth to include 2 years case management and/or workforce development programming experience and 2 years supervisory experience
- Experience with managing budgets
- Effective communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Must be available to work Monday – Friday (some weekends as required to support program times)
- Complete required trainings for role within 60 days Youth Development Modules, Listen First, FCDI – Career Development Facilitator
- YGSF Mandatory Compliance Trainings before first shift in role (no more than 14 days after hire)
Preferred Skills & Abilities
- Bi-lingual (Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin and English)
- Lifeguard Instructor Certification, Lifeguard Certification, CPR/First Aid/Oxygen Instructor certification, CPR/First Aid/Oxygen certification
