About the Instructor: Jeanne-Marie Hughes, PhD
Jeanne-Marie Hughes, PhD (“Jeannie”) has taught dance, performance, yoga, fitness, meditation, and wellness in colleges and community settings since 1976. She is on the faculties of SFSU (Kinesiology Department: Fitness, Wellness, and the Global Perspective) and CCSF (PE and Dance Department: Salsa/Latin Dance, Yoga, Folk Dance). Jeanne has enjoyed teaching the community Mind-Body Health class at the Stonestown YMCA for several years, which as been supported by CCSF and then the SF Department of Adult Services.

AAMG Virtual Health Workshops
We have partnered with the Asian American Medical Group to offer virtual workshops about health topics in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
AAMG virtual workshops are short informative presentations and Q&A sessions designed to inform and educate adults 60+ and their caretakers.
Workshops begin with a presentation or video followed by a question and answer session with the AAMG physician or staff presenter.
Upcoming workshop topics include "Asthma", "Fall Prevention", "Prostate Health" and "Dementia".
Senior Community Connection
We are hosting easy-to-access, online activities to help seniors stay connected with community.
Led by a Y facilitator, these opportunities to socialize and have fun include activities such as games, conversations, cooking classes and more.
Participants can choose to participate at the level at which they are most comfortable and will receive helpful information and resources that can be accessed from home.

Senior Stress Busters: Ding Sum Method
In partnership with Stress Busters, we are offering virtual sessions for senior stress reduction based on the Ding Sum method.
Stress Busters provide support as a stable resource to help people with new and chronic hardened challenges. Each 30 minute sessions will introduce the concept of stress and understand that there are many manifestations of stress.
Participants will learn to understand the origin of stress and how this simple tool can be highly effective in helping to eliminate stress. They will have the opportunity to try the technique, share their experiences and ask any questions.
Every Thursday at 12:00-12:30 PM PST, beginning July 9.
