Family Camping Weekends!
The Point Bonita Y is pleased to offer Family Camping Weekends!
Join us for an extension of our Y Rangers (Play, Learn, Serve, Work) program, focused on getting outdoors and playing, learning, serving and working in our National Park. This program will be offered 4 times per year, for up to 25 families.
Each weekend will offer activities for families to do together, kid-specific activities while parents get some time to themselves, opportunities for families to form community with each other, and service projects to give back to and preserve our parks. We will provide all meals and accommodations. At this time, families will sleep in our historic dorm rooms. This is a partnership program between the YMCA of San Francisco and the National Park Service.
Pricing & What to Expect
Pricing:
$550 Y Facility Members, $650 Community Participants
Family Camp pricing is inclusive of 3-4 people living at the same address. We encourage extended family members to attend and only charge an additional $90/person for families wishing to bring more than 4 people living at the same address. Build Your Own Family Camp
With a "Build Your Own Family Camp", you have the opportunity to customize your Family Camp experience. Get together with four other families (or more) and choose what your weekend will look like! With access to the beautiful National Park you can choose whether you want your experience to focus on nature, family, or challenging yourself and loved ones to an epic adventure.
Three options to choose from:
Traditional Family Camp: All the programs and activities of our standard family camp weekends (see description above)
Pricing
$550 Y Facility Members; $650 Community Participants
Modified Family Camp: Uses our traditional family camp as a model but removes YMCA-led morning programming on either Saturday or Sunday. This would include:
- All meals from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch
- Two nights lodging in our dormitories (one room/family)
- Campfire and s'mores
- Family night hike
- Headlands nature hike or service project

$475 Y Facility Members; $575 Community Participants
Do-It-Yourself Family Camp: Spend a weekend in the Marin Headlands without YMCA-led programming. Choose your own hikes and adventures while taking part in our meal service and dormitory accommodations.
