About the Job
The Stonestown Family YMCA is seeking an Associate Program Director for youth programs at Dianne Feinstein Elementary School (2550 25th Ave, San Francisco, 94116) and Specialty Camp programs for the branch.
Under the leadership of the Youth Program Director II, the Associate Program Director is responsible for the supervision, operations, staff development, and program implementation of Dianne Feinstein Elementary School. This position is responsible for helping to maintain a safe and welcoming after school program site; ensuring high level of program quality that will expose youth to various learning opportunities and working to establish a positive relationship with all program participants and their families. The primary responsibility for this role is to create an academic and enrichment-based program that is compliant with our Federal & State Funders and the Youth Development Principles of the YMCA of San Francisco.
The Associate Director will also engage actively in the Annual Giving Campaign by recruiting and supporting volunteers and being accountable to a department campaign goal. The Associate Director will represent the Stonestown Family Y in the community, acting as liaison to several entities, both public and private to support the overall mission of the YMCA of San Francisco. The Associate Director will be in ratio/direct service as needed, particularly as part of leading the Specialty Camps.
Minimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age
- 2 years of college units or equivalent experience
- Available Monday – Friday during school and summer program hours, including evenings and some weekends
- 2 years working with youth programs in a supervisory role
- 1 year supervising staff and volunteer teams
- 1 year managing a program budget
- Experience building or collaborating to build programs for youth populations (elementary and middle school age)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal leadership abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 Suite of programs
- TB test clearance
- YMCA approved first aid, CPR, and AED certified (may complete upon hire)
- Youth Development trainings (may complete upon hire)
Preferred Qualifications
- Cantonese, Mandarin, Russian or Spanish language (bi or multi-lingual)
- Special skills or experience in enrichment program for elementary aged youth
- Strong relationship with SFUSD
- Salesforce software experience
- Credentialed educator
- Grant writing experience
- Youth Development trainer
- Y-USA Leader and Team Leader certification
