Youth Basketball League
The Presidio Community YMCA’s youth basketball leagues are for youth in kindergarten to 5th grade. Our league is recreational and beginner-friendly for the youth of our community. We focus on fundamental skills development, sportsmanship, and the YMCA’s core values of honesty, respect, caring, and responsibility. Our goal for YMCA basketball players is to help them develop healthy and active lives.
The ten-week season will run from January 11, 2027 through March 7, 2027 at the Presidio Community YMCA’s Main Post Gym and the Letterman Gym. Our early bird team registration will open on October 5, 2026, and regular registration prices will start on November 2, 2026. Registration closes on December 4, 2026 or when the league reaches maximum capacity, whichever comes first.
Early bird registration: 10/5-11/2
Facility Members: $341 (includes a $50 non-refundable deposit)
Community Participants: $430 (includes a $50 non-refundable deposit)
Regular registration: 11/2-12/4
Facility Members: $391 (includes a $50 non-refundable deposit)
Community Participants: $480 (includes a $50 non-refundable deposit)

Registration is based on a first-come, first-served basis, and grade-level division capacity. Grade levels may combined into one division based on the number of teams registered by December.
Your team or free agent’s registration is not confirmed until your team representative receives a confirmation from the Presidio YBL Team. You will receive a confirmation by December 7, 2026.
Registration will close on December 4, 2026 or when the league reaches maximum capacity, whichever comes first.
Effective Winter 2027
If your team requests and is placed with a YMCA coach, an additional $120 per player will be added to the program cost. If you request that the YMCA register a team for you, we will be charging a $200 fee per team to be distributed equally among the participants on that team.
Average team size: 10 kids
Minimum/maximum team size:
- Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades: 10-12 kids
- 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades: 8-12 kids
Requirements for Volunteer Coaches
Complete the volunteer application and email your completed application to [email protected].
All volunteer coaches will be subject to the following:
Reference Checks (A new reference check is not required for coaches who have previously completed one.)
- Two (2) Personal References.
- Two (2) Professional References
Background Check
Complete Online Trainings. These trainings must be renewed every season.
- CAP for Volunteers (approximately 1 hour)
- Concussion Training (approximately 5 minutes)
Youth Tennis Clinic
Our youth tennis clinic is designed for kids in grades K-3rd, and teaches students basic tennis skills and technique through drills, fun and engaging games.
The clinics are fee-based classes for children, ages 4-9 (Grades K-3rd).
Associated prices:
- Facility + Tennis Member Fee without Deposit: $350
- Facility Member Fee without Deposit: $350
- Community Member Fee without Deposit: $400
- 20% YMCA staff discount available
What to bring:
Proper tennis court shoes, a personal racket (we do not provide rackets for participants), and snacks/water.
