About Program

MPR Youth Entrepreneurship Program is designed to give youth experience working with the Mayor's office. Prepare your career with resume, placement, and job application assistance.

*This is a DACA serviceable program.

Participants receive weekly workshops in Fall and Spring that focus on core workplace competencies, including public speaking, education and employment development, goal setting and prioritizing, team building, project management, leadership, and financial literacy.

The Entrepreneurship pathway includes the Social Entrepreneurship Guidance Program (SEGP) and MPR. SEGP is for 17-24, available for adults as well.

“YMCA Entrepreneur Program helps you really push and challenge yourself. Nobody knows your business like you do, so take that chance, put in the work, and good luck!”

- Kendra Brown, owner of Vanity Vaja in Bayview YMCA’s Social Entrepreneurship Program.
