We are excited to announce that the 13th Annual Jog in the Fog 5K will take place on Sunday, September 14, 2025. We hope you will join us for another great event filled with family, fitness and fog! This kid-friendly event is a perfect opportunity for school groups, sports teams and multi-generational families to participate together. All registered participants will receive the iconic Jog in the Fog race t-shirt.

Early bird pricing: register by July 31st to receive $5 off

  • $55 – Adults 18 and over
  • $45 – Teens 12 to 17
  • $10 – Youth 11 and under

course information

The official Jog in the Fog race kicks off at Mt. Lake Park and starts promptly at 8 am. If you need to pick up your bib, we recommend arriving early, as registration and bib pick-up will close around 8:05 am.

The 3.4-mile course* winds through scenic trails and finishes at the USS San Francisco Memorial Parking Lot in Lands End, with course monitors stationed along the way to guide participants. 

This is a fun, family-friendly event! At the finish line, celebrate with post-race festivities, including snacks, games, music, and kid-friendly activities.

pre-race and race day information

Please note that restrooms will be available at the start, but we do not provide lockers, storage for personal items, or transportation back to the starting line. We look forward to seeing you at the race!

Pre-Race Bib Pick-Up: You can pick up your race bib and t-shirt early on Saturday, 9/13, at the Richmond District YMCA, 360 18th Ave., between 9:00AM and 12:00PM.

Race Day Bib Pick-Up: You can pick up your race bib starting at 7:00AM on race day at the starting area and pick up your shirt after you cross the finish line. We recommend arriving early, as registration and bib pick-up will close around 8:05AM.

The official Jog in the Fog race kicks off at Mt. Lake Park and starts promptly at 8:00AM.

  • 7:00AM – 8:00AM: Bib pick-up and day of registration (Mt. Lake Park)
  • 7:30AM – 7:45AM: YMCA instructor led group warm-up
  • 7:46AM – 7:59AM: Welcome
  • 8:00AM: Start
  • Post-Race festivities at the finish line (USS San Francisco Memorial Parking Lot)
  • 9:00AM: Awards Ceremony

Start: Street parking is available near Mt. Lake Park at the start of the race. Shuttles will not be provided for this event. Muni Lines 38 Geary and 1 California will take you back Park Presidio.

Finish line: You can park in the USS San Francisco Memorial Parking lot and take Muni near the start at Mt. Lake Park. Muni Lines 38 Geary and 1 California will take you back Park Presidio.

The starting line is located at Mt. Lake Park. Enter at 11th Ave & Lake St.

FAQs

Please note that restrooms will be available at the start in Mt. Lake Park and at the finish line at the USS San Francisco Memorial Parking Lot.

We do not provide lockers or storage for personal items. If you want to bring personal belongings, you will need to carry it during the race.  Avoid leaving valuables in your car.

There are portions of this course that include rocky, uneven terrain and stairs that may make it difficult to push a stroller. We do not recommend it.

We do not have a permit for dogs to participate in this event.

Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, there will be course monitors throughout the route to help guide you to the finish line.
