About Environmental Advocates
Interested in the environment and building a sustainable community for yourself, your family and your neighbors? Environmental Advocate Program encourages guiding youth into sustainable “green” careers.
This program includes personal counseling on climate change topics and fieldwork around San Francisco. The program offers placements into internships, paid training, and even permanent employment opportunities in green initiative- related fields after completion.
Course includes a student led community engagement activity project. After completing the program, students receive an education stipend to further support education and training.
“This is a fun and interactive way to learn about the basics of environmental advocacy. They learn about the basics of flooding, ground water, and utilizing clean energy. We give them an opportunity to learn more about their community, and incite change.”
