The Stonestown Family YMCA provides activities for Y-Adults ages 60+ years. At the Y, older adults have a chance to keep active and grow in spirit, mind, and body. Most of our Y-Adult programs are free of charge. We don’t turn anyone away because of inability to pay for our fee-based programs. From exercise classes to trips and lifelong learning programs, there is something for everyone!

These programs serving the community are funded by the City of San Francisco’s Department of Disability and Aging Services.

Trip Priority Registration Guidelines and Procedures

At Stonestown Family YMCA, we prioritize equity and inclusivity for all members. These guidelines help us allocate limited spots, prioritizing active Annex and/or Parkmerced participants. Your support ensures fairness and enriches our community experiences. Thank you for your understanding.

REGISTRATION

  • Priority registration is reserved for those who are active and current Y-members or members participants at the Stonestown Family YMCA Annex and/or Parkmerced.
    • To be considered "active and current," you must have consistently and consecutively attended Annex and/or Parkmerced Senior Programs for a minimum of 2 months, participating at least 3 times per month.
    • The lunch program does not count towards Stonestown YMCA Family Annex's programming requirements.
  • Friends and family of Annex and/or Parkmerced Y-members or community participants do not qualify for priority registration unless they are current or active. They will need to wait for general registration to open.
    • Please keep in mind that you can only register a spot for another person if you both share the same household address.
    • Your attendance will be verified in accordance with the Priority Registration Guidelines.

Trip Registration Process

IN-PERSON REGISTRATION

  • Participants are highly encouraged to register for trips IN PERSON to secure their spots.
  • A line may form no earlier than 20 minutes before the designated registration time. Participants will be assigned numbers in the order of their arrival.
  • Please set aside at least an hour to wait to be seen and registered.

PHONE REGISTRATION

  • A certain number of spots will be set aside for phone registrations, with a designated window of time for participants to call and register. If the spots allocated for phone registrations are not filled by the end of the designated time, the remaining spots will be transferred to in-person registrations.
  • We will only process phone registrations if you are actively speaking to us on the phone. We will not return calls for any voicemails.
  • Please understand that due to limited staff capacity and high participant volume, immediate assistance for phone registrations cannot be guaranteed.

Thank you for your patience and support as we improve our senior day trips. We're dedicated to enhancing your experience and refining our processes to better serve our community. Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation!
