How to Register

Get Started Today!

Our before- and after-school programs are coordinated with local school districts and range in capacity and need based on the school site.

Your student may need to be approved by the school site and a YMCA program director or site coordinator prior to registration. Contact your school’s program site for more information prior to registering to ensure a smooth application process.

You will need an online account with us to register for any online programs. Please note that a parent must create the account, act as the account holder, and then add the child as a dependent within the same household.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE & Third ParTY Assistance

Monthly Tuition Rate with Discounts

Your family can receive a 20% sibling discount. Qualified families may also apply for Financial Assistance to help cover monthly rates.

The YMCA of Greater San Francisco works with local agencies, such as the San Francisco Children’s Council, and gladly accepts alternative payment vouchers; please note that monthly rates may change year to year. You will be notified of any rate changes before they take effect.

Additionally, active YMCA Facility Members enjoy exclusive discounts on monthly fees and youth programs, including summer camp and youth sports.

Free/Reduced Lunch Families

Families that qualify for their school’s Free/Reduced Lunch may qualify for discounted rates. Please reach out to your program site for more information.

How to Enroll with Third-Party Assistance

Before you submit an enrollment request, please provide a certificate or contract of child services from your caseworker.

  1. Contact your caseworker to identify your preferred program and site.
  2. Submit your documentation to our team.
  3. Confirm your portion of any remaining tuition dues.

Billing & Payments

We collect monthly program fees, due on the first of each month. To maintain your enrollment, please set up an automatic draft through your Community Portal account. Please see your program site for more information surrounding program policies.

Financial Assistance: Open to All

The YMCA of Greater San Francisco welcomes everyone to our programs. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we offer financial assistance on a first-come, first-served basis. As an equal-opportunity provider, we strive to make our programs accessible to all families.

How to Apply

Scholarship amounts vary based on your household income, county, and program site. If you believe your family qualifies, please follow these steps:

Keeping Your Financial Assistance Aid Current

If we awarded you assistance during the current calendar year, you do not need to reapply for new programs. However, if you have not yet received an award this year, please submit a new application. You can expect a response from one of our associates within approximately 15 business days.
