Mission Active Older Adults Center
The Mission YMCA Active Older Adults Center, located in the Outer Mission and Excelsior Neighborhoods, provides social, nutritional, educational, and recreational activities to keep older adults actively involved in our community. Our weekly program include a daily lunch program, exercise classes, trips, special events, presentations and appointments with community professionals and health counseling. Come by and be part of all the fun! We are located on Mission Street, between Bosworth and Trumbull Street. Project Open Hand
We offer lunch Monday through Friday at 11:40 AM and serve a nutritionally balance hot meal specially prepared for anyone over 65. There is no cost, but there is a suggested donation of $2.00 for lunch. Younger friends are welcome, also at no cost, but with a suggested donation of $6.00 for lunch. Reservations are required. You can reserve your meal by calling our reservation line and leaving a message at 415 452 7565.
San Francisco & Marin Food Bank
Every Tuesday the San Francisco Food Bank provides one bag of groceries and one bag of produce to low income seniors. For more information please call Genny Pinzon at 415 452 7581 with any questions.
Exercise your competitive spirit! Bingo games include Four Corners, Basket in the Corner, and Inside Picture Frame. You don’t want to miss this exciting action.

Trips & Excursions
The Mission YMCA provides a variety of trips, explore a new part of San Francisco or visit a new city - the possibilities are endless. Trips are open to YMCA members and Community Participants. Our trips fill up quickly so don’t delay in signing up! Registration is required. If you are new to our Y family and haven’t taken a trip with us before, please stop by our front desk to pick up a registration form prior to attending trips. Please note, reservations are not complete until payments are completed. Payments can be taken in person at the front desk at the Mission Y. Cash, Check and Credit Cards are all acceptable. Seats can be reserved upon payment and any other questions can be directed to Genny Pinzon 415 452 7581.

Exercise and Wellness Classes
The Mission Y offers an array of exercise classes, all designed with you in mind. Starting January 1st, 2017, classes are $5 drop-in or $25 for unlimited exercise classes at the Mission YMCA. There is no additional cost to Facility Members or Silver and Fit Members, and we offer 2 free classes taught by City College professors.

Free Health Screenings
Free health screenings are available to the community at the Mission YMCA on a drop-in basis. Come every month for a different screening: cholesterol, glucose, body mass index (BMI), and blood pressure. These screenings are made possible by Community Health Resource Center, and a generous contribution from Chevron and the Lisa & Douglas Goldman Fund.
When: Screenings are held every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month.

This course develops formal artistic skills using acrylic, watercolor, pastel, color pencil and graphite. Beginning and advanced students will study and develop art techniques through drawing and the practice. Individual and group instruction includes composition, color mixing, and the proper use of brushes and substrates such as paper. No experience necessary, beginners are welcomed!
