The Community Resource Center of the YMCA serves families residing in Brisbane, South San Francisco, and San Bruno. We provide individuals and families with basic emergency and support services to stabilize their living situations. We provide clients with crisis intervention and referrals based on an evaluation of their needs and qualifications for assistance. We provide a safety net of services to San Mateo County residents in need of food, emergency housing assistance, emergency utility assistance, shelter and other basic needs.

What We Offer

Our comprehensive services are geared to be responsive and flexible enough to address each family’s unique needs. We work collaboratively with families to create service plans that empower and support families to strengthen social, emotional and physical well-being. All services are offered in English and Spanish.

  • Shelter placements for unhoused families and adults through the Coordinated Entry System (CES)

  • Screening and assistance for government benefits and programs
  • Enrollment in health care plans
  • Integration of mental health services for low- and moderate-income families at the Youth Service Bureaus and at a child’s school

YOUR SUPPORT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE

We’re looking for motivated individuals to join our team of volunteers. We welcome individuals of all backgrounds and experience levels. Volunteers would help sorting and passing out food at local South San Francisco food distributions to community members. CORA

Committed to supporting victims of abuse by intimate partners. Cora’s services, which include emergency housing, psychotherapy, and legal aid, are intended to promote safety, healing, and support.

Hip Housing

Home Sharing Program helps match individuals seeking housing with people who have a room or Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) to rent and offers a self-sufficiency program.

The Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County provides free civil legal advice, counsel, and representation to low-income San Mateo County Residents.

Job Train

Provides services for job search needs such as resume development, interview practice, career exploration, workshops, and more.
