Presidio Trail Run 10K, 5K, 1.5 Mile

The Presidio Y is hosting its 11th annual Presidio Trail 10k/5k/1.5 mile on Sunday April 30th, 2023. With spectacular views of the Bay and the Pacific Ocean, this unique and challenging trail run winds its way through the Presidio of San Francisco, past Inspiration Point, the Presidio Golf Course, Rob Hill Campground and more.

AMAZING VIEWS. ALL TRAIL. PRESIDIO TRAILS.

Proceeds from the Presidio Trail Run support the Presidio Y's community programs. At the Presidio Y strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side by side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to improve their lives and their community.

Together, let’s create a bold vision for the future – then make it a reality.

A future where every child is inspired and prepared for success.
A future where every member of our community thrives.
A future where the world is a safe and equitable place for everyone.

Our vision of a better future is at the root of everything we do.

With your support, we will continue to fight for better futures for every member of our community for generations to come.

Healthy and Safety

In accordance with the California Department of Health Effective April 1, 2022, requirements for vaccine verification or proof of negative test for large events have been lifted and have moved to a strong recommendation. Therefore, participants are strongly encouraged to be fully vaccinated and/or get confirmation of a negative Covid test result prior to running the race, (stay home if you feel ill, etc).

Participants are no longer required to present proof prior to participation and we will not be checking onsite or ahead of the race. For more information, visit California Department of Public Health.

Parking

The Presidio offers several parking lots to serve Presidio visitors around the YMCA and the Main Post. We encourage attendees to carpool, walk, or bike to the park as well. Visit SF Muni's website to plan your trip or check out the Presidio Trust's PresidiGo shuttle schedule.

Parking areas require pre-payment via the "pay and display" stations which dispense permits that are then placed on the dashboard. Areas are generally regulated every day from 8am to 6pm. Please note that credit card or coin payment is accepted.

  • Areas labeled as "A" are time-limited parking areas and the fee is $2.50 per hour.
  • Areas labeled as "B" are in higher demand on weekends and the fee is $2.20 per hour up to $11 per day.
  • Areas labeled as "C" have lower demand and the fee is $1,80 per hour up to $9 per day.
  • The rest of the parking areas are regulated and the fee is $2.00 per hour up to $10 per day.

Why the Y Matters

At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Now, more than ever, our community needs your support. Since March 17, 2020, the Y of San Francisco has been on the ground offering critical resources to our community.

FOOD SECURITY

The Y serves those who struggle with food insecurity by providing more than 7,000 individuals and families each month with food pantries throughout San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin counties through our partnership with the SF-Marin Food Bank.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

The Y is embedded in the communities that have been among the hardest hit by unemployment and inequality. We address unemployment and underemployment through targeted workforce development strategies including skills building, job readiness training, and job placements.

OUT OF SCHOOL TIME (OST) PROGRAMS

The y’s before and after school programs support a child’s academic success and promote healthy physical, emotional, and social development.

CONNECTION TO NATURE

The Y of San Francisco believes that time spent outdoors helps us to be our healthiest, best selves. We continue to provide healthy outdoor opportunities for all members of our communities through: tennis, outdoor wellness windows, outdoor personal training, YRangers camp, outdoor wellness hikes, bike rides, runs, and group exercise programs.

Refund Policy

In light of this event being a race benefiting the Y of San Francisco’s essential services: OST (Out of School Time) programs to support academic success and promote healthy development, targeted workforce development strategies to address unemployment and underemployment, food pantries for those struggling with food insecurity, and healthy indoor and outdoor programs for all members of our community, refunds will not be given.

For questions about how to participate or support these programs, please email Sean Dires.
