POSITION SUMMARY
Under the primary supervision of the Youth & Teen Director, the Camp Volunteer will be responsible for supporting the Stonestown Family YMCA summer day camp. Camp Volunteers will work with specific camp units to assist Camp Leaders and Unit Directors with the supervision and support of campers and facilitation of activities and field trips. Camp Volunteers working in Extended Care will provide support to the Extended Care team including sign in/out tables and activity stations.

Age: Entering 11th grade or older

Availability: At least 3 days/wk

Licenses & Certifications: CPR/1st Aid
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
- Work with Camp Leaders and Unit Directors to facilitate activities for campers
- Maintain and promotes a safe and enjoyable environment in keeping with YMCA Day Camp standards, objectives, and goals
- Arrive on time and ready to volunteer each day
- Assist with the safety and supervision of all campers
- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor
- Uphold YMCA policies for safety, supervision, mandated reporting and risk management
- Demonstrate the Character Counts values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility in all dealings with members, guests, volunteers and fellow staff
- Demonstrate competencies in and willingness to develop in the Cause Driven Leadership areas of mission advancement, collaboration, operational effectiveness and personal growth
