Send a Kid to Camp

Every September the Y of San Francisco hosts a golf classic for a cause. The Kids to Camp Golf Classic has been fundraising and providing scholarship funds to send kids to Y camp since 1988! Every year, the Y provides camp to more than 8,000 kids and gives out over $465,000 in scholarship funds to low-income families to ensure all kids have access to enriching opportunities in the Bay Area. When kids experience Y camp, they know they’re happy, safe, and making friends, but we know they’re getting so much more than that—from science skills to self-confidence, and providing kids with the skills and support they need to be successful in school and life.

This year's tournament will be held September 18, 2017.

About

The Course

The tournament is held at Half Moon Bay Golf Links, Ocean Course.  Opened in 1997, and designed by renowned landscape architect Arthur Hills, the golf course in San Francisco’s traditional "links style” design delivers "firm and fast” fairways. In 2008, the course was named one of the best courses in California and hosted the LPGA Samsung Golf Championship. Half Moon Bay Golf Links: 2 Miramontes Point Rd, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019

Our Cause

The Y is committed to strengthening the foundations of community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Proceeds raised at the tournament provide camp scholarships to low-income youth, giving them the opportunity to revel in joys of childhood not only during summer camp, but also during winter and spring camps when schools are not in session. At Y camp, youth experience new challenges, make lifelong friends, and have fun in safe and affirming environments.
