The Bayview YMCA Workforce Development and Transitional Age Youth Program helps job seekers transition to become self-sufficient adults by providing workshops and case-management through strength based, restorative approaches.
Our programs provide on-site vocational learning services and referrals to partnering training agencies. We work to connect job seekers with the skills and/ or placement needed to obtain and retain employment.
Our Programs
Job seekers looking for employment in the following three fast-growing industries: Culinary and Hospitality, Technology, Health and wellness.
Primed and Prepped
Provides youth with hands-on experience to enhance skills and excel in the culinary arts industry.
Technology and Design
A 12 weeks program to provide youth with the tools needed to be successful within the tech industry while building their design portfolios.
Social Entrepreneurship Guidance
A 16 weeks program develops business plans, including the basics of business finances.
Environmental Advocates
A 12-week course provides students with hands-on community activity project.
MPR Youth Entrepreneurship
A program designed to give youth experience and access to working with the Mayor’s office and civil servant careers.
Case Management and Workshops
This program supports youth with more one-on-one assistance to develop a strong academic and social-emotional skills essential to success in their careers.
