Creation Station has gone virtual and offers online programming. Creation Station will always remain free and open to all middle school youth in San Francisco to best support our families and communities. Starting on June 16th, Creation Station will be offering a 6-week virtual S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) program. Youth who live in District 10 (South East San Francisco Neighborhoods) will have priority registration, but ALL 4th to 8th graders are welcome! Who We Are
Creation Station is a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) focused afterschool program dedicated to providing District 10 middle school youth with a dynamic and unique curriculum designed to develop their unique passions, and help them develop lifelong skills and interests. Program participants engage, educate, and empower their community to learn creatively, express emotions and experiences, and explore ideas and projects across various subjects.
What We Offer
During Creation Station's 6-week virtual summer program, they will offer a variety of projects such as:
- Tie-Dye T-Shirts
- Building a solar power moon rover
- Playing with 3-D design
- Making a roller coaster
All materials will be provided free of cost!
Humanmade provides youth with unique access to design, industry, and workshop facilities. They are an adult maker space dedicated to helping local populations with skill training, both for personal and creative use, as well as to enter the design industry workforce with short term job training programs.
SF Arts Education
SF Arts Education provides more than 300,000 public school youth with visual and performing art education and programming. They share our vision of giving youth the tools to express themselves and become empowered adults with the creative skills to articulate their individual voices.
Kehrmie is a creative, kind, and outspoken queer individual from Los Angeles, CA. They specialize in environmental science, holistic health, queer advocacy, alternative youth culture, and STEAM education. They are committed to engaging youth with transparency, humor, equity, and individualized approaches. Outside of work they enjoy art, music, skateboarding, and the outdoors.
