Competitive Swim Team

YMCA Pacific Aquatic Club (YPAC) Swim Team (6-18 years)

YPAC is a year-round swim team that focuses on youth development and competitive swimming. Once a month participants compete in USA Swimming official meets involving teams from the Bay Area and surrounding counties. Participants learn and refine such things as stroke technique, endurance and speed.

Anyone looking to join YPAC and set up a required Swim Team assessment needs to contact the Head Coach, Guy Concepcion.

Rec Swim Team

First Mates Pre-Swim Team (6-14 years)

The First Mates Pre-Swim Team is a non-competitive swim group where youth learn the basics of what a swim team does in a more relaxed environment. Through the program, participants work on skills such as diving, endurance, and efficient stroke technique without competition. First Mates is a chance to exercise and socialize with friends and a chance for youth to discover what they can achieve in a group. It is a stepping stone between the highest level swimming class and the Presidio’s competitive youth swim team. Contact Guy Concepcion:

Masters Swim Program

Join our Masters Swim Program for intermediate to advanced swimmers. Our experienced coaches are all products of wonderful swim teams, and they will help you on stroke technique and endurance work in a fun social setting.

It is advised that prospective Masters be comfortable with swimming 2000 yards in one hour. Workouts are comprised of kicking, pulling & swimming different strokes. Ranges 2,500 to 4,000 yards. Lanes are adjusted for appropriate speeds as needed.

Participants of the Masters Program can attend any number of workouts. Regular attendance is not required, however it is recommended that participants train on a consistent schedule.

Masters coaches are experienced coaches who specialize in technique and endurance training. First time participants should introduce themselves to the coach(es) and tell the coach(es) the following information: swimming background, current goals, physical limitations and whether technical feedback is desired.
