Conferences & Retreats at Point Bonita YMCA

Situated on the bluffs between the Pacific Ocean and the San Francisco Bay, there is no other facility quite like ours! We offer a remarkable location and an unforgettable experience for all of your conference and retreat needs. We serve corporate teams, church groups, non-profits, clubs, scout groups, universities, schools, wellness organizations and more. Our prices wil be increasing July 1st 2018. Remember our group referral policy! If you recommend a new group to Point Bonita and they mention your name when they book, you both will receive $100 off your next day-use conference or $200 off your next overnight retreat.

Residential Conferences and Retreats

We offer 4 meeting rooms, overnight accommodations for up to 150 people, delicious and nutritious meals for all diets, a campfire amphitheater, an outdoor sports area with an ocean view, gathering places, access to the Marin Headlands and a variety of YMCA staff-led experiences

 

Rates through July 1st:
Overnight rates are per person and include lodging, three meals/day and exclusive use of one meeting space.

The following retreat amenities are included with your reservation and should be confirmed in advance of your stay at the YMCA:

  • Large-screen monitor with full A/V compatibility
  • Projector
  • Whiteboards
  • Table and chairs
  • One-time room set-up
  • Mini-fridge
  • Easels and chart pads
  • Hot/cold water dispensers
  • Podium
  • Two hours of complimentary event planning services
    (additional event planning services are available at the rate of  $50/hour)

 

Additional meeting spaces may be reserved at the following rates should your event require more space:

Bothin Room (150 Person Maximum)           $250/Day

Kiwanis Room (50 Person Maximum)           $250/Day

Discovery Room (40 Person Maximum)       $250/Day

Holsinger Room (12 Person Maximum)        $150/Day

Non-Residential Conferences and Retreats

Many groups use our facility for one or multi-day conferences without utilizing our overnight accommodations.  We offer the same four meeting rooms and provide meals for all diets, campfire amphitheater, outdoor sports area with an ocean view, gathering places, access to the Marin Headlands and a variety of YMCA staff-led experiences.

Rates through July 1st:
Day use rates include exclusive use of one meeting room and lunch served in our dining hall.

Experiences

The Point Bonita YMCA wants your team to have a wonderful stay at our facility.  To enhance your time with us, we are proud to offer a variety of staff-led experiences.  Our primary goals are to get people connected to nature and to strengthen your group’s sense of community.  Simply reserve your experience at least one month in advance of your visit and the YMCA will do the rest. 

Campfire Circle                                                                                             $200 for 90 minutes

Sit by a roaring fire enjoying s’mores while one of our naturalists shares some history of the Headlands, tells stories or leads campfire songs.  All of that while also listening to sound of the Pacific crashing against the shore?  Priceless.

 

Team Building in Nature                                                                              $250 for 2 hours

Have fun while our outdoor educators help your team to build communication skills, deepen trust and enhance cooperation and respect for others.  Our staff will challenge the spirit, mind and body while focusing on the specific needs and desires of your particular group.  We want your time to be dynamic, interesting and, above all, fun!

 

Journey Through the Headlands                                                                $250 for 2 hours

Let our naturalist staff deepen your connection to nature by choosing from a variety of options, such as:

  • Day Hike – Take a hike through the Headlands and learn about the habits of wildlife and the various ecosystems of the park, including discussions of group member’s abilities to make positive impacts on the environments they live in.
  • Night Hike to Rodeo Beach – Experience the beauty of the Headlands in a new way, taking in the sights and sounds of the park at night.
  • Birds -  Learn to identify and appreciate the diversity of these fascinating creatures and how they fit into the unique ecosystems of the Headlands
  • Cultural history of the Headlands – Across the centuries, countless peoples have lived and worked here.  Let our staff take you through a journey to understand how each group, from the Coastal Miwok tribes to the army and National Park Service, have adapted to live in concert with this space.
  • Wetlands and Watersheds – Explore the local watershed with a special focus on the animals and plants that live there.  Groups have the option of participating in water quality testing, as well.
  • Nike Missile Site & Battery Townsley – Unlock the history of these former Army outposts and the strategic importance of the sites and the weapons housed within them.

 

Private Point Bonita Lighthouse Tour                                                 $250 for 2 hours

The YMCA staff can guide your group through a private tour of the active Point Bonita lighthouse, which dates back to the late 1800’s.

           

Yoga in Nature                                                                                     $200 for 90 minutes

Participate in a group yoga class with the Pacific Ocean as your backdrop.

 

Volunteerism                                                                                       $2500 for a day-long service project

Tend to our community garden, restore habits, clean up Rodeo Beach, maintain trails, assist with woodworking projects and help the YMCA and Marin Headlands become an even more beautiful and welcoming place for all.

 

Prices include up to 25 guests.

Please add $75 for each additional 25 guests.

Additional time may be booked at the rate of $100/hour.

Meals

At the Point Bonita YMCA we take our food very seriously.  All meals are prepared by our staff to meet the highest standards using the freshest, healthiest ingredients.

In addition to the meals included with your reservation, our food services staff can provide additional catering options for groups of 20 people or larger. Please take a look at our Conferences & Retreats sample menu.
