Presidio Community YMCA Swim-A-Thon

The Presidio YMCA’s Swim-A-Thon is an annual fundraising event held by the YMCA Pacific Aquatic Club’s (“YPAC”) competitive swim team.

YPACers of all ages swim uninterrupted laps for one hour. All funds are raised by the swimmers—and support the YMCA of San Francisco’s mission of youth development and healthy living for all.

Support our young swimmers as they strap on their goggles and give it their all to raise money and team spirit!

The Swim-A-Thon is more than just a fundraiser. It’s a team-building event that every single swimmer—regardless of age or skill level—can participate in. This year is particularly special. It’s our first one since 2020, and we are thrilled our swimmers can once again participate in such a fun and team-oriented tradition.

How It Works:

Participants earn money by getting sponsors and swimming as many laps as they can during a 1-hour time period. Sponsors have a choice of pledging a certain amount of money per lap, or by making a flat donation. For instance, if your neighbor pledges $1 a lap and you complete 60 laps, that’s $60.00!

Donors may donate on the page below, or by filling out a pledge form with a check. All checks should be made out to Presidio Community YMCA.

Your donation is 100% tax-deductible! All donors will receive a “thank you” note that can be used for tax purposes.

Please help make the 18th annual YPAC Swim-A-Thon a success by supporting your swimmer today for their swim on June 18th!

“My son came to YPAC in the fall of 2015. What we found was a warm and caring team with great coaches who made practice fun while working hard. He couldn’t wait to be in the pool every day. As he continues with the team, the respect for his coaches and teammates continues to grow. Being part of the YPAC community has benefitted our family in numerous ways and he has made some amazing friendships as he navigates his teen years.” - Swim Team Parent
