Buchanan YMCA

Kiara started her career with the YMCA in New York as an intern in 2015. She then worked in the YMCA of Colombia for 3.5 years supporting school and university English programs and Coordinating an international volunteers program. Kiara started working with the YMCA of San Francisco in 2019 and her experience includes providing community-based mental health services, supporting mental health trainees onboarding and compliance needs, leading in the YMCA's Latinx ERG, and now overseeing the Buchanan alternative education program.

Ivonne has a passion for connecting adults and children to health and wellness and the outdoors. She currently leads the Membership and YKids Teams.

James has worked for YSF for over 16 years and he’s excited about this position because of the new adventure it presents: the new co-workers, the new facility and the ability to expand his skills while continuing to support the YMCA community and staff. In his free time, he enjoys going to the theatre and jazz clubs as well as reading a good book.

James, being part of Admin Collab, is responsible for processing accounts payable for both the Buchanan and Urban Services branches while providing ongoing clerical support to the Buchanan branch.

Precious Ogbonna is a youth development director at the YMCA of San Francisco and has worked with the Y for the past nine years. She has been helping youth and teens explore the concepts of civic engagement, workforce development, and health equity. Specializing in middle and high school programming, Precious uses that experience to support our young people with their transition into the workforce, understand their civic duties, and transform medical research to be centered around equity.

Rizelle found her passion in working for youth early in her college career. She has worked with the Y for 5 years now as a program lead, camp coordinator, assistant and site coordinator. She loves to see the growth in both the kids and herself, and believes that building a strong community is key. In her free time, Rizelle enjoys reading in the park and playing pool.
