While San Mateo County is in the Purple Tier, we are only accepting reservations for one household in a village. This will ensure that all guests will not come into contact with other household members during their stay.
YMCA Camp Jones Gulch is located in the beautiful redwoods near La Honda, about an hour drive south of San Francisco. Enjoy a beautiful getaway in the redwoods where your family can experience our great hiking trails, explore the local beaches and tide pools, and relax in nature while spending quality time together.
Plan a safe and relaxing getaway that your whole family will enjoy!
We work directly with the County of San Mateo to determine what precautions we should take to make this as safe of an experience as possible. Because of this, we have altered many of our regular services to meet the health needs of our guests. You can find more information on what precautions and expectations we have of you during your stay here. Some of the key changes are:
- We are providing no food service during your stay. You are responsible for bringing all food, ice, and cooking equipment (if not listed in your cabin/campsite amenities)
- There are no program sites open. The pool, climbing tower, canoeing, archery, and zip line are all closed until further notice.
- Only people who live in the same household can share a cabin/tent. We do allow for families who are in each other's social bubbles to stay in adjacent cabins/tents, but they must maintain social distancing procedures throughout their stay.
- There are no shared bathhouses or common spaces open on our site. Each cabin has their own bathroom and all common spaces are closed.
Have more questions about this? Email us at email@example.com.
Our cabins are available in many different sizes and configurations that can meet almost any family's needs.
All our cabins available for Family Getaways have private attached bathrooms including showers, and each cabin will have a private picnic table for outdoor dining. For the health and safety of guests, and in alignment with current county regulations, food preparation should be treated like camping. Guests should come prepared with everything they might need for food preparation including camp stoves, grills, plates, cups, silverware, dish washing soap, and a picnic table cover.
Guests also will need to bring their own bedding, pillows, towels, hand soap, hand sanitizer, and anything else they might need. All members staying in a cabin must be from the same family per current CDC, state and local guidelines.
