About the Job
Under the leadership of the SRO Family Support Program Coordinator, the YMCA SRO Program Organizer will assist with the SRO Family Support Program which is funded through Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development. Duties include planning and implementing recreational activities, checking in regularly with participants, supporting community program events, supervision of participants, collecting participant feedback, and providing administrative support. The goal of the program is to engage, collaborate, and provide resources for families living in Chinatown SROs. We are seeking individuals with the desire to make an impact in the community, is detail oriented, organized, and has the passion to work with families.
Salary range: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour
Minimum Qualifications
- 18+ years old
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be available 10-15 hrs. per week; late afternoon to nighttime, and Saturdays
- 1-year experience with youth and social services
- Must be self-motivated, proactive, reliable, and highly organized
- Current YMCA approved CPR and First Aid Certification (will complete upon hire)
- Fingerprint background check clearance
- TB test clearance
- Must be able to work onsite
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English
