About the Job
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Program Director is responsible for the development, staffing and marketing of all Camp Jones Gulch program areas including but not limited to Overnight Camp (family camps, summer camp, teen camps) Outdoor Education Programming and Day Camp. The Program Director will also be a support to CJG’s Retreat & Rental programming.
It is required that the Program Director live at the camp facility in La Honda, California. A housing allowance and fee is included with the position and a private house will be provided. Manager on Duty shifts will be expected. The minimum age requirement for candidates for this position is 25 years old per California Organized Camp Act standards.
Salary range: $69,000 to $72,000 per year
Minimum Qualifications
- 25 years old
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience managing a Resident/Overnight camp
- Experience must include program development, marketing and staffing.
- Previous supervisory and budget experience
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish
- Experience with Ropes courses
