About the Job
The Preschool Assistant Teacher is part of a team which provides a safe, nurturing and educational environment for all children enrolled in our program. The preschool assistant teacher will actively participate and help plan all activities scheduled. The preschool assistant teacher supports the teachers in building and maintaining positive relationships with families being served at the Mission YMCA Branch. The preschool assistant teacher must have a positive attitude and model appropriate behavior when dealing with children. The preschool assistant teacher must obey and follow all regulations set forth by Community Care Licensing as well as instructions given by the Lead Teacher and Site Coordinator.
- Minimum 18 years old
- Assistant Teacher Permit or higher plus 350+ days of 3+ hours per day within 4 years
- Must be available Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
- Bilingual skills preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Works, EXCEL
- Current YMCA approved CPR/FA certification
- TB test and fingerprint clearance.
