About the Job
This position works within the Bayview YMCA Family Resource Center. The overall goal of the Family Advocate-DR Lead is to engage and connect families to needed resources and services to promote family stability and functioning, self-sufficiency, promote parent/child connections, and overall wellness. Strong and proactive engagement skills are essential in assisting and connecting families in utilizing our services and the community resources to support family stability. This position aims mainly to provide services for our Differential response families. The Family Advocate-DR lead will conduct home visits where needed and engage families in supportive services/case management related activities; in addition, facilitating activities/ groups/ workshops that ensure families are thriving, connected and able to support their children’s life-long success.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Two years of experience working with underserved, high risk and isolated families/ populations providing direct client case management services and community engagement to families.
- A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or other related field.
- Knowledge of family resources in the San Francisco is required.
- This position requires someone with outstanding work habits; punctual, consistent, cooperative, and team oriented.
