I want to come with friends in my social bubble. Can they stay in the same cabin with us?

We require that each cabin reservation be only for one household. We anticipate that you will be able to spend time around campfires and other outdoor activities together with other families, but that will be dependent on the San Mateo guidelines for COVID-19.

Will there be meals provided? Where will meals take place?

Yes, during Summer Family Camp we will be providing 3 meals a day, beginning at dinner on your check-in day to breakfast on your check-out day. These meals will likely be at the main dining hall with staggered meal times to accommodate county restrictions. More information will be available as we get closer to the date.

What activities will be available and how do I sign up?

We are planning to open most of our regular program activity sites this summer. This will include archery, zip line, climbing tower, swimming pool, and guided hikes. When you arrive, you will be able to sign up for time slots for these activities to do as a family. Depending on current COVID restrictions, you may be able to sign up with other families. 

What is your refund policy?

Because of the uncertainty of COVID, we are offering full refunds up to 30 days prior to your arrival day. After that a partial refund is available prior to your arrival day. No refunds will be available on or after your arrival day.

I'm having problems registering. How do I sign up?

We are currently working out the bugs of our new registration system and we know this can be frustrating. If you would like us to handle the registration for you, email us at campjonesgulch@ymcasf.net and let us know which cabin and dates you are interested in. We can then book it for you.

We have cabins that are available for organization or groups of families who want to be together. Email us at campjonesgulch@ymcasf.net and let us know how many families and what dates.

What precautions do we need to take while around other households at camp?

While in any area with another household, we will continue to require a face covering and social distancing of at least 6 feet. We will be restricting the number of households allowed in common areas to allow for adequate social distancing.

I am fully vaccinated. Will I need to follow all of the restrictions?

Yes, until we receive other guidance, anyone with a vaccine will still need to follow the same guidelines as everyone else.

I cannot afford the prices of these cabins or I know of another family who wants to come but can't afford it. Is there any assistance available?

We strongly believe that the outdoors, and more specifically Camp Jones Gulch, should be available to all families. We offer financial assistance for all of our programs and are able to provide assistance to families depending on their household income and size. To find out more and to apply go here.
