Fitness Centers

 

The upstairs Personal Fitness Center has two stretching areas, complete with balance equipment and light free weights. The downstairs Strength and Conditioning center has a cardio theater and a larger line of Cybex weight resistance machines, free weight equipment, spotting stations, bench presses, and a complete line of dumbbells.

 

Strength and Conditioning Center Appointments

Facility members may attend orientations and follow-up appointments with a Wellness Coach at no additional cost. Appointments may be made when you join the Y. Please contact us at (415) 242-7111.

Note: The minimum age for working out in the Strength and Conditioning Center is 12 years old.

 

Youth Strength Training

This is a one-on-one orientation for youth ages 12 and 13. It is a prerequisite training for all teens on the proper use of equipment.

 

 Fitlinxx: Interactive Fitness Network

You and your Wellness Coach will set up an exercise program designed to meet your fitness goal(s). With the help of Fitlinxx, your program will be tracked and monitored. Fitlinxx does this by sending your workout to each piece of equipment. It monitors your range of motion and lift speed.
