Monterey Cypress and Pine trees dot the campus, surrounded by native coastal scrub plantlife. Deer frequently roam through the site, stopping to graze and peer undisturbed at on-lookers. Meanwhile, famlies of quail parade around the buildings while red-tail hawks soar overhead.
YMCA Point Bonita's unique campus encompasses four historic buildings dating back to the 1950s, formerly accommodations for soldiers who served at the nearby Nike Missile Base (now a historic site as well). These days, warm interior colors, an expanded dining hall and our emphasis on Green business practices give our site a more modern feel.

Dining Hall & Meals
Many visitors cite our delicious, healthy, home-made meals as a highlight of their visit!
Our chefs know how to strike a chord that pleases both children and adults. As part of our efforts to be an increasingly green facility, we strive to use local, organic ingredients whenever possible.

All meals are buffet style and include milk, organic coffee, and tea. A typical day starts with plenty of fresh fruit, yogurt, hot & cold cereals, plus a hot entree like eggs and fresh county potatoes. Lunch and dinner includes an entree plus steamed or sauteed seasonal vegetables, a salad bar with organic greens Most lunches include home-made soups and our highly praised home-made desserts compliment our dinner buffets. We offer vegetarian options and will accommodate special dietary needs (such as vegan).
Sleeping Accomodations
Overnight, we can accommodate up to 150 people in two heated, dorm-style residences. Our semi-private rooms sleep 4-12 people. One dormitory building is designated for men, the other for women.
Dorm rooms are connected to common restrooms with 3-4 hot showers and coin-operated washing machines and dryers. Guests generally bring their own linens, blankets and/or sleeping bags, and pillows. Linens are, however, available upon request for a fee.
Two or more visiting groups may share YMCA facilities during a given stay. Each group will have its own room assignments and meeting rooms, sharing only the Dining Hall, bathrooms and outdoor areas.
Exclusive residential use of our facilities is available for groups of 110 or more, upon request.
