Open Letter: "GOOAAAALLL!!"
Dear Board, Volunteers, Staff & Members-
I am so very happy to write you with the news that we have reached our Strong Communities Campaign goal of $235,000 for 2009-10! It’s been a long process, but thanks to all of your hard work we have done it yet again. I am extremely grateful to our staff for giving and getting just a little bit more this week. I am also thankful for several of our board members who also pitched in a bit more to help us reach goal over the past month.
I have had the pleasure of awarding several camp scholarships to families this week, and their overwhelming thanks is an example of how important this annual campaign is to our local community. Without these funds, thousands of youth and families would be without the support they need from the Y on a daily basis.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your efforts in helping us reach this goal. It’s truly been a team effort, and we all have a lot to be proud of. Please take time to celebrate in the gorgeous weather this weekend, or by watching soccer!
