YMCA Winter Day Camp 2008

December 22 - 24 and 29 - 31
Holiday School break doesn't get any better than this! Youth grades K - 5 will enjoy playing games, doing arts & crafts and swimming. Camp runs from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00
p.m.* Camp will be located at 1830/1834 South Norfolk, San Mateo in the Parkside Plaza Shopping Center. Campers will be bused to the YMCA for swimming and park trips.

How do we sign up for camp?

Where are the camps located?
Camp will be located at 1830/1834 South Norfolk, San Mateo in the Parkside Plaza Shopping Center. Campers will be bused to the YMCA for swimming and park trips.
Who are our Camp Staff?
Many of our staff are young adults on summer break who are hired based on experience working with children and commitment to working with campers from varied backgrounds. Your child’s safety is our first priority. Staff are fingerprinted and screened according to YMCA policy. In addition, they meet ACA requirements, attend 40 hours of training with certification in first aid, CPR and water safety to ensure your child has a quality experience.

Do you give refunds?
A doctor’s note is necessary for withdrawal from a camp week. A 100% refund (minus deposit) will be given if a withdrawal occurs a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the camp week.
What do I bring to camp?
Campers must bring a healthy bag lunch (they have an action-packed day, so please pack plenty!), water to drink, sunscreen, swimsuit, towel (on swim days) and a backpack to put it all in. Come dressed for fun!!! Note: Closed toe shoes only. Snacks are provided by each camp.
How do I apply for Financial Assistance?
Applications can be obtained from the registration desk at the YMCA. Through the generosity of our many supporters, the YMCA of San Francisco offers affordable programs and services designed to benefit people of all income levels.

The Peninsula Family YMCA’s Summer Day Camp is proud to be accredited by the
American Camping Association. Developed exclusively for the camp industry, this nationally-recognized accreditation focuses on program quality, health and safety issues, and requires us to review every facet of our operations.
