Lifeguard Training (ages 16 and up)

Upon successful completion of this nationally recognized course, participants will have the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently guard the lives of swimmers in varying aquatic environments.

Prerequisites for this course include: completing a 500 yard swim, a 15 foot underwater swim, and treading water for two minutes. CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are contained in this course, both of which are required to be a lifeguard. Participants are required to purchase and bring YMCA on the Guard II, which can be ordered by calling 800-747-0089.
