Contributions to the Y's Annual Giving Campaign support positive, healthy programs for children and families, particularly those suffering the most in the current economic times. Your donation stays in our community where it can make the most impact. Make a gift to the Annual Giving Campaign and help strengthen youth, build stronger families and shape tomorrow's leaders. Funds provide financial assistance for membership, camp, youth leadership and diversion programs, mentoring and a free bag of groceries weekly for those who visit our food pantry.
Donations to the YMCA's Capital Projects create the tools necessary to meet growing and evolving community needs. Building on more than two years of extensive preparation by volunteers, the YMCA is shaping a bold plan to address critical community needs in areas that are currently underserved and eager for enhanced YMCA programs and activities. Funds provide for modern, safe and healthy program environments in the form of upgrades and large equipment replacement as well as new facilities that provide efficiencies for operations, including our commitment to becoming more green.
Gifts to the YMCA's Endowment Fund provide a stable, enduring source of funding that protects the YMCA's ability to positively influence the community for generations to come. Endowed funds are held in perpetuity according to donors' wishes and wisely invested. A portion of the interest earnings is used to ensure a strong, viable YMCA for the youth and families of many future generations. Common designations for the interest earnings include program support, camp scholarships, financial assistance for low-income participants, facility maintenance, international initiatives and general YMCA support.
