Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

Preserving YMCA Heritage while advancing impact today

The Heritage Club is a group of highly engaged individuals who have made a legacy commitment in support of the YMCA Endowment.

The goal of the YMCA of San Francisco’s endowment program is to perpetually fund a portion of the Association’s life-changing programs. By supporting this effort, you’re ensuring a strong, viable YMCA for the youth and families of many generations. You are also creating an engaged community today that is ready to meet the challenges of the future.

Why should I give?

YMCA programs are the cornerstone of their neighborhoods. The YMCA engages people from all walks of life, building healthy spirit, mind and body as a strong and connected community grows. Your gift to the endowment fund ensures that the programs people need the most will continue for the next 155 years and beyond…

  • Building teens into leaders by modeling, teaching and challenging them to play a vital role in the community.
  • Supporting children in becoming successful adults by providing a safe place to learn new skills, develop positive relationships, and build self confidence.
  • Providing programs for families as they join a legacy of generations that teaches their children to live a healthy life, build strong character, to lead and embrace a strong sense of community.

How do I become a member of the YMCA of San Francisco’s Heritage Club?

There are several ways to join. Most people make a gift through their will. You may also make an outright gift to the Endowment Fund or you may choose to consider a planned or deferred gift. Giving can be accomplished through several vehicles that provide substantial tax savings and other important benefits.  Click here for a copy of our Heritage Club brochure.
