Capital Projects

Providing safe, efficient and welcoming environments in the City, in nature and in your neighborhood.

How can you help?

The YMCA of San Francisco is currently raising money for two capital campaigns and several major projects at our 75 year-old 927 acre camp:

  • The historic 1926 Chinatown YMCA is currently under construction with both renovation and 18,000 square feet of new facilities including a new pool, an entire floor of class rooms, community space, and a large kitchen.
  • The renovation of the Bayview Hunters Point YMCA is taking the old All Hallows elementary school on Lane Street and transforming it phase by phase into a community center and anchor providing hope daily in the south west section of the City.
  • YMCA Camp Jones Gulch is a gaining priority as the formal capital development and master plan are being revised.  In the meantime there are discrete and urgent projects waiting for funding including a solar heating system for the 70-year-old pool, upgrades to the pond and other infastructure systems. Cabins are available for adoption through gift agreements and bequests.

We invite you to join us in building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.
