Registration is open to Kindergarten-8th graders: Download our registration form here or stop by the Member Services Desk to register in person. There is a minimum of seven campers for each session. Families will be notified of any camp cancellations one week before camp session.

Join us for a week of basketball training with a whole lot of camp fun mixed in. Basketball campers will spend the mornings and afternoons enjoying camp activities such as computer lab, gym games, art/science projects and more.
During the rest of their camp time, they will go to the

Pioneers - K & 1st Grades
Buckle up for some amazing summer fun! Each week is filled with a wonderful array of games, special events and activities including: swimming, arts & crafts and daily field trips to fun places such as the Antioch Water Park, The Jungle and the San Jose Tech Museum.
The staff to camper ratio is 1:8.
Adventurers - 2nd & 3rd Grades.
Get ready for fantastic thrills this summer! Each day at camp includes lots of fun activities such as swimming, arts & crafts, games and daily field trips including: Nickel City, Zeum and The Jungle.
The staff to camper ratio is 1:10.
Explorers - 4th & 5th Grades
Are you ready to rock the Bay, Explorer? Each day at camp includes lots of fun activities such as swimming, sports and games. Extra special field trips include S.F. Zoo, Lawrence Hall of Science and ice-skating.
The staff to camper ratio is 1:10.
Movin' On - 6th - 8th Grades
Campers will have the freedom to experience even more thrilling adventures! Take trips to places like ice-skating, Aqua Adventure, and Jelly Belly Factory! Once each week campers will get to choose their own field trips and activities. Also included in this camp experience is “Community Jams” an opportunity for middle-school aged youth to participate in community service activities. These activities encourage the youth participant to accept challenges and explore new ideas.

Junior Leaders - 6th-8th Grades
Want to learn more about being a leader in a real life group situation? Then the Junior Leaders Program is for you! Spend the week learning leadership skills and being a role model for younger campers as you shadow counselors throughout the day. You will participate in the daily activities of your assigned younger camps Monday through Thursday and on Friday; you will receive your Embarcadero YMCA Junior Leaders Certificate and attend the weekly field trip with the Movin’ On camp!
Counselor In Training Program - High Schoolers
Our Counselor in Training program gives teens youth development leadership skills in real-life group situations. Special training in leadership skills, assisting camp counselors and participating in activities. is just the beginning. The growth and friendships that happen make it all worthwhile. Participants must fill out YMCA of SF application and interview with camp staff. Also, youth must either be a facility or program member. Please sign up for 2-week sessions. It’s the winter to discover at the Embarcadero Y! We will be frolicking all over the city with fun destinations such as Pump It Up, Exploratorium and Ice Skating! Themed daily activities combine with our traditional day camp games and songs for unforgettable experiences. The YMCA Camp Jones Gulch believes everyone needs and deserves opportunities to explore outside
Situated on 927 acres of unspoiled forest and meadows near La Honda, Camp Jones Gulch's old-growth redwoods and beautiful surroundings inspire campers to learn and explore in the natural world. Family Camps, resident camps over the summer and during holiday breaks are time tested local traditions. Resident camps servce youth aged 6-16.
During the Resident Camp program, we maintain a 1:5 staff to camper ratio. Camp staff are carefully screened and complete an intense training program designed to foster a safe and fun environment for all children.
Through the generosity of our donors, the YMCA offers financial assistance to the extent that it is available

YMCA membership and programs are open to everyone. Financial assistance, to the extent possible, is made available through our generous donors. Financial assistance awards are based on eligibility requirements; applicants who do not meet the requirements will not be considered.
Residency Requirements: In order to apply for financial assistance your residence must be within our service area, which includes only zip codes: 94103, 94105, 94107, 94110, 94111, 94112, 94124, 94134 and 94158
Income Requirements And Award Levels: In order to apply for financial assistance your maximum annual income must be at or below 60% of the unadjusted area median income (AMI) for HUD’s metro fair market rent area that contains San Francisco
Financial assistance award amounts are up to 35% of the cost of each camp session requested. Awards are granted based on family size, relative income and location of residence.
